I get there’s advantages to using adhesives to “close” the wing. But that also seems like a nightmare for maintenance and inspections. And especially for what sounds like a test article. Composites are already a pain to identify fatigue damage in . This seems like it just makes it harder. Cool for maximum performance though!

That XB-1 site is awesome just for its construction, let alone that of the airplane.
I like the idea of a return for supersonic air travel. I wonder what applications it would be used for though. Economic trans-oceanic crossings like before make sense, but my recollection is that the noise problem crated the continental air travel proposition.
